Taster Lunch- World Peace Day

My Refection

On the 19th of September we had a taster lunch because we were learning about other people's culture of food. We all had to bring something in to share. Someone said they have never tasted a dumpling and they really enjoyed it. This was part of our learning about World Peace Day.

Reflection 

I had so much fun doing and making a monster bookmark but it doesn't have to be a monster it can be anything you want. I  especially liked helping out the year 2's.

Writing from a different characters point of view

My Reflection

I was writing from a different character's point of view I found it difficult to finish the story and making paragraphs. I found it quite fun to do and it was easy to think of a twist. What I would do next time is make the words more interesting like using a thesaurus. 

Peace Sense Poem

OUR REFLECTION

We were learning to write peace poems and we found it difficult to find words for the poem.  We found it easy working together and agreeing on the same thing.  We would use more descriptive words and use a thesaurus to help us. I worked with Kazh.

My speech Manners

Hello I'm going to tell you about manners and of course everybody needs manners especially towards elderly so let me talk about them. Manners are always nice to use when you help somebody or doing something so I have about 3 reasons and facts why manners are good to use. Number 1. Did you know that if you take your hat off Inside means a sign of peace so that's one of it now move on to number 2.Using manners can help make a good relationship like if you want to make a friend or a best friend. And if you say please or thank you in a well lets say something like this you’re in a ice cream shop and you say thank you or please and the person behind you will  think you’re very nice and trustful well that's what happened to me now a move on to number 3.If you’re in a race of some kind of competition and the person who is competing you and won and you’re really bummed that  you  didn't win well you’ll win next time.Oh and don’t forget to congratulate the winner and keep calm about that you didn’t win so next here’s another fact, manners are like things you use everyday and never stop using well I don’t actually know if that's a fact but I believe it is if it is then wow it seemed like a really good quote or fact so now is the time I stop well I hope you enjoyed my speech.

What I need to work on is to find more officiant words to use. And also I need to work on my speech for timing my timing wasn't very good. It was a bit short my speech. But I'm very proud of my speech.

I found it difficult to remember to put the exclamation marks and question marks in.  I understand where the speech marks go. I need to work in other types of punctuation.

                                                      I was learning to match decimals with fractions and their words. I can match tenths. I could have put them in order. Next I would like to work with other fractions, like quarters.

Next time I might want to get up to about 80 or more

I was learning to use different painting skills. I found it tricky to do drag because I put too much paint on. I am proud of how it looks.

I was learning to think of ways to make 100. I had to think of adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. I chose numbers I knew. I found dividing hard. I need to work on this. I need to think of patterns to help me next time.

MY REFLECTION

 I chose this photo because this showed that I had fun at camp doing Body boarding. I was proud that I can could stay on the board and not be scared of the waves. I would also like to learn to catch bigger waves. I learnt that being away from home is not too scary.
